Disney+ Hotstar Adds Dr. Stone Anime, Dr. Stone: Ryusui Anime Specia

The Dr. Stone manga by Boichi and Riichirou Inagaki and the Dr. Stone: Ryusui anime special are both available in India on Disney Hotstar for streaming in both seasons.

In July 2019, the first anime to air on television debuted. In January 2021, Japan hosted the world premiere of the second season, dubbed Dr. Stone: Stone Wars. In September 2021, Netflix in India started streaming the anime season, and on August 17, Ani-One Asia did the same.

Returning to TMS Entertainment to helm the second season is Shinya Iino (storyboards, episode director on Hanebad!, Revue Starlight, and Made in Abyss). The Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga, After the Rain, and 91 Days episode script writer Yuichiro Kido returned to oversee and pen the series scripts. The characters were once again created by Yuko Iwasa (Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, Yowamushi Pedal). The music was composed by Tatsuya Kat (WorldEnd, Revue Starlight), Yuki Kanesaka (Blood Blockade Battlefront and Beyond insert songs), and Hiroaki Tsutsumi.

The opening theme song "Rakuen" (Paradise) by Fujifabric and the closing theme song "Koe?" (Voice?) by Hatena were both featured in Silver Spoon season 2.

On July 10, the one-hour Dr. Stone: Ryusui anime special aired, revealing the name of the third Dr. Stone anime season, Dr. Stone: New World, and its spring 2023 debut.

The Dr. Stone manga series was first published in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2017 and concluded in March 2022 by Boichi (Sun-Ken Rock) and Riichirou Inagaki (author of Eyeshield 21). The manga's 26th and final volume was released on July 4. The manga is being published both digitally and physically by Viz Media. Additionally, the manga was made available online in English by MANGA Plus.
